We strongly suggest you approach from the village centre and not down Portway Hill which is very narrow with limited passing spaces.
What do I need to bring with me?
Even on a fine summer evening, it can get chilly when the sun goes down, so we suggest that you bring some warm clothing, as well as your rugs and/or low backed picnic chairs - but no high-backed chairs please.
Do you have parking?
We have ample well signposted off-road parking - and we offer a limited number of spaces for Blue Badge holders. Please contact us on sctlamyatt at gmail.com
to book a Blue Badge space.
What happens if it rains?
In the event of forecast rain the audience can shelter in the marquee while the performance takes place outside. Disposable waterproof ponchos will be on sale if required.
Can I bring children and dogs?
Assistance dogs only please and no babies.
Is there a bar?
Yes. Do visit the Cross-Garter bar.
About
Our first 'Shakespeare in Lamyatt' outdoor performance took place in 2011. The event is organised and planned by a small volunteer team from the village to raise funds for the upkeep of Lamyatt’s 13th century church and village hall. The hall allows us to keep the arts alive in rural places including National Theatre Live and Take Art productions. Monthly pub nights are very popular and often host local bands including The Copy Cats.
With views over the village and far beyond, our venue is Lamyatt's answer to the Pyramid Stage.
